The 5000$ tax credit is ridiculous.
Because
1)takes money away from the government, which is desperately needed.
2) Here's 5000, now you are on your own.
3) For someone like me, who is employed 20 hours a week, i might see 400 dollars of that 5000$
4)This plan once again stands to benefit people that make more money
5) Tax credits are NOT the answer!!!!

1) Different from Obama's plans how?

2) That's better then "Your forced to buy healthcare, now you're on your own."  Aside from that his other part of the plan is... you guessed it Healthcare tax credits.

Also along with that he suggests that the state governments adopt non-profit healthcare plans that cover everyone in there states.  Making it much more efficent and tailored to the specific states then a giant unwieldy national plan.

He also has many initatives set up to make healthcare costs go down.

3)  Why would you assume the healthcare tax credit gets higher the more money you make? That seems... stupid.

4) How?

5) Why?

So let me get this straight. McCain is for keeping rich people's tax low, and then lowering everyone elses tax credit by 5000$? That is the difference. Much less federal tax income. The health plan needs to change but America needs to recoup its debt through taxes ASAP.

It's the same throughout the McCain campaign. Give away money, that will work. Gas credits, health credits, heating credits, dependant child credits. Doesn't anyone realize how much the gov is going to lose? This is the opposite of what we need.

Obamas plan is not "you are on your own" it establishes a basic healthcare level for each and every american.

I don't assume credit will get higher but listen and understand:

If I make 8k a year then my taxes are nil,

If I make 15k a year I pay out about 500 in taxes

If I make 25k a year I pay out about 1200

as you can see, at what I make, 15k, I cannot afford healthcare on my own, and my credit is a tenth of what I am supposed to get. like i said i have blue cross but if i didn't i would be in trouble because 500$=not enough.

If you are asking "How does it benefit people with more money?" then here you go.

At the point where I am actually owing 5k in taxes, after credits and exemptions, I'm probably making 50k as a single person. I did a tax calculator. That figure of 50k is even when i did not put in any examptions.

Giving money to people is not the answer. They thought it was the answer with the last tax credit and it wasn't. It is not money that people need. They need changes to be made.

Repossessing should not be the ultimate goal of a bank. It is a threat. This is the kind of economic society we have. One where greed overcomes logic.
