 you can't assume that.  blockbuster needs to get rid of the stock even if it means selling at a loss.  even if you assume blockbuster is taking a full $40 loss on each console that's still better than taking a $400 loss by not selling it at all.  and with the 80g the having the exact same features but a bigger HDD - the 40g will never sell without a price cut.

they call it a fire sale for a reason - last week it was worth $400, today it's worth $360, tomorrow it's worth $300.  they need to ditch them and ditch them fast.
