There is a difference between tough question about what she believes.
There is nothing wrong with what would yuo do in this situation, and it could be a touchy situation. Asking about specific details from McCain's past is something I don't even think his wife could answer, nor Obama, The only people who would be able to do so are people Lieberman and such who know him well, and have worked along side of him.
I agree with you on the rest. She has some idiot advising her to keep bringing up Russia...
