You can say whatever you want about Halo but the ppl that dont like it are always going to have to shout it to the world which may leave the wrong perception. Just b/c YOU don't like doesnt mean thousands of others don't. The fact is if Halo only sold on its name it wouldnt even get a glimpse at 8 million.
Now on-topic: Honestly I don't think it could ever reach the popularity or commercial sales as Halo despite the fact it really is shaping up to be a killer game and a definite 1 day purchase. If I had to pick the game/series that is the flagship for Sony (not caring which genre) I'd have to go with Gran Turismo. When I think Sony I think GT just like with Nintendo you think Mario/Zelda and Halo with the 360. Just my 2 cents.
