Is it fair to say that Resistance 2 is Sony's Halo?

Halo sells well based on name?  There are PLENTY of FPSs better?  That would be opinion, not fact...Halo 3 is the #2 game played on Live and it has competition for players from Gears and COD4.  Clearly this is a game that MANY people still thorougly enjoy.

Regardless, as far as impact/importance to it's platform, I think Insomniac would be happy if Resistance was compared to the Halo series.

Yes it does sell on name....now. Otherwise, you wouldn't see it on Mountain Dew cans, NASCAR memorabilia....I mean, they even made an ad with Pontiac's G6 GXP. Now I already said it was genuinely a good game...but 8+ million good? I don't think so.

COD4, Team Fortress, Half Life, Unreal Tournament, etc. are all better games, yet don't come close to Halo's sales. And the only reason that it's the #2 is because, what, 50% of the 360 userbase in America (it's only strong hold) bought the game, because Halo is essentially the identity of the Xbox

 

You are rediculously mistaking if you think any of those games come to the full package of halo 3. COD4 comes close but lack of co-op and vehicle weapons keep it back. The rest are not even in the same league as Halo 3
