Going by History of GT versus Mario Galaxy:
Gran Turismo Prologue doesn't have a chance historically.
GT5 should sell 9 million. Well, that's on 100 million odd consoles, and sales went down between 3 (14 million, phenominal) and 4 (8 million... well, phenominal, but 6 million loss). So, about 1/8-1/13 owners will get it.
If it is a spiritual successor to Mario 64(11 million), we should expect 1/4 Wii owners getting it. Make it 1/6 to account for those who bought a Wii for Sports, fitness, and whatever. If it is a spiritual successor to Sunshine(5 million), about 1/6 Wii owners will get it, make it 1/8 for the same.
This is based on rough calculations without double checking or using exact figures, but according to previous console sales versus attach rates, Mario has the advantage here.
See Ya George.
