| Soriku said: Btw, Level 5 now has a big relationship with Nintendo now looking at all those DS games, and likely Inazuma Eleven Wii and Ninokuni Wii. I doubt they'd just go, and Sony wouldn't attempt a hostile takeover. At most what Sony could do is just throw some money at Level 5 for some games, which is pretty much what they're doing now anyway. |
They don't really have a relationship with the company. Their games just happen to be successful on a Nintendo platform. It's not like they worked together with Nintendo to make these games.
And if you notice, all their BIG projects are those funded by outside sources (their ps2/3 games and Dragon Quest). I'm sure they wouldn't mind having the means to invest heavily in all of their games.
Of course, I don't think Level 5 will be bought anytime soon. But if Sony were to go after an RPG developer (and they do have a tendency to go after developers that can fill weak areas in their lineup), Level 5 would be their primary choice.
