Since when do you guys take everything Karl Rove says for gospel? I thought he was like the next closest thing to satin... or something like that... I think there is a chance it could backfire. But, I honestly think it is more him showing he can take iniative and such. Also you say mccain would have no affect on the Bill? Well there are only 100 senators, make that 99 because Obama says he can multitask.. So there are 99 senators, McCain is, and has been for years a major voice of the Senate. He is seen as a centrist and in the past has worked boths sides of the aisle. I think McCain can do some good being there, I can see where Obama is coming from, he knows his presence would be worthless too.... Heck why do we need senators according to you all, appartly we elect them as potential canidates for pres now. Last I checked they pretty much run the country, and the President just signs what they give him.

I never said I liked Rove, i implied that he is a saint of the far right and if even he is saying it sucks then oh boy, no one really buys it. It would be like Pelosi saying "Obama you just screwed up the election".
Anyways, the reason McCain should not be in on this is simple. First, he admitted he did not understand the economy much. If he does not, how can he hope to have any understanding of what is going on? This is a complicated issue. He will just get in the way. Second, when you are working hard on getting soething done and then a someone busts in during the middle of making it what happens? It turns into a circus and everything slows down. If McCain was there from the start, maybe it would be a bit different, but he has not. He only decided this the DAY that a number of negative polls came out. He could have done this when the govt first mentioned this. Thats why this is a political ploy.
