The Democrats turned it Political the second they decided that should pin it on Bush/ Mccain.

Who were they supposed to pin it on?  This problem has been a long time coming but Bush did nothing in office to try to stop it and as recently as two weeks ago McCain was praising deregulation in the banking industry, while trying to push for similar deregulation elsewhere.  Obviously both are complicit with the policies that led us to where we are today.

The difference between what the Obama and McCain campaigns did:

Obama campaign:  Let's pin this on the Republicans "This was Bush' fault and McCain will continue his legacy..."
McCain campaign:  How can we turn this on Obama? "This is no time for partisan politics or bickering.  If only my opponent actually cared more about the economy and country than this campaign like I do..."
