Complete political gimmick by McCain. Their presence in Washington will only be a distraction.

McCain has not only showed a lack of leadership during this crisis, but also an extreme ignorance of the state of our economy and what needs to be done. Right now he is going for a "bombshell mega announcement" to get all eyes and ears back on his campaign, and hope that it is dramatic enough that he is perceived as a leader on this issue.

Right now its more important than ever to keep the scheduled debates we have so that the American people can make an informed decision. Congress will work out the issues in the bailout (hopefully involving oversight and protections instead of that scary "non disclosure + non reviewable by courts" proposal by that mega-douche Paulson), and our candidates need to stay the course and show us which one has the understanding and judgement to be president.

Gimmick?

Figures you would say that. Like I said in my earlier post, I guess Obama finds it more important to work on debate prep... Yea that what we need, I president who can TALK about fixing things and study for debates at the SAME TIME. Obama is truly amazing. Props.

From what I can see is most people are saying that Obama's response is weak and expected... That is unless you consult the Huffington Post.
