It is an obvious political ploy. They are both running for president, everything they do now is a political ploy.

 

 

I know it is a political ploy. It is also crazy of us to expect our elected officials to fulfill their duties. "I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter;" how dare we expect them to fulfill the oath they took.
