No no no resistance  sold 2m less then Gears 1 and that was with resistance being bunddled so wouldnt that help it sell more?

As far as quality goes, how can you not? Resistance is the meatier, more polished (or least it looks to be now) game between the two.

Gears 2's selling point is its kick assedness (copyrighting this word), but you can't honestly say that the game looks like it has higher quality than Resistance 2. Resistance has better lighting, better explosion effects, better animations, and more features.

Its difficult to compare these two games, since Gears 2 is more like Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 is more like Halo 3, but I think as far as quality goes, from the looks of it Resistance 2 is better. Resistance is just more cartoony while Gears is more badass.

I'm not sure that stating your opinion, is valid argument, as an objective measure of quality...I mean, I could just as easily say, Gears 2 has the better animations, better fire effects and much more detailed characters...

I'm not hating on R2, but I think any hope that either Gears 2 or Resistance 2 is going to be the better game "quality" wise, is purely subjective, right now, as neither game has been released. 

Now if you want to say you were more hyped for R2, that's cool, I can respect that. 

I don't think either R2 or KZ2 make good comparators for Gears 2 though, as both are first person shooters and Gears is not.  Additionally both KZ2 and R2 are going for large scale multiplayer experiences and gears is focused on more intimate 5 v 5 matches.  Watching your team mates perform, once you are dead, is also a big part of the Gears experience. For lack of a good comparator on the PS3 however, and given their relative importance to the library of each system, I can understand why the observations are made.

On topic (sorry for wandering) I think the few gameplay snippets that are posted in this video (and similar ones on IGN) have whetted my appetite for this game even more than I thought possible.  This game can't arrive, soon enough.
