but brawl is pretty much melee plus so so much more.. it even includes the same control scheme if that was what you wanted.... i cannot understand (unless you are just giving an empty reason as to why brawl wouldn't be up there with the games you actually played) how in any way melee could be seen as superior to brawl... At All.

I own both Brawl and Melee and I also prefer Melee more. Brawl just seemed like too much of the same ol' same ol' that we saw in Melee. It's like all of the Guitar Hero games since the first one.
Speaking of Guitar Hero, I think World Tour might actually have a shot at GOTY. They have put a lot of effort into making the game the best it could be. IGN sais that if you only own one music game ever, it should be Guitar Hero: World Tour. It's the first game in the series to actually branch out of just your basic Guitaring, but at the same time, it one-ups Rockband. I honestly think it could be GOTY.
