Casuals are the people who don't live for videogames or spend a significant amount of time on them. They're the people you will never find on forums like these for example. They are the ones that don't buy videogame magazines or go on videogame websites or have a significant gaming online presence. The people you're talking about are not casuals, but new gamers, a new market, and if they have a good experience with videogames they'll probably want more and more of them.
