Why are there so few 90+ rated games for DS?

This is why I don't own any handhelds, I only buy AAAA games to satisify my hardcore gamer needs and handhelds just don't have them. And I definitely won't touch any game that has 89.999 rating on Metacritic, that 0.001 quality unit difference really does matter.
