A while back i posted a thread called "the Wii is a toy" and made some points about whatever, which isn't the point.
Now, this quote by Miyamoto is pulled directly from "why Wii music is genius" thread

At a Nintendo developer’s roundtable event this evening in Los Angeles, a German journalist asked Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto if it would be more appropriate to call “Wii Music,” which lacks goals and points, a “toy” rather than a “video game.”

Miyamoto replied tersely: “Yes, that’s right. And that’s why it’s more interesting than a video game.”

with this in mind tell me how the wii is not a toy. i will not comment or respond i just want to know what you think.

PS: this isn't just the game, this is the trend in general, with miyamoto at the helm. Nintendo has also admitted to the Blue Ocean market strategy (which is exactly how this game compares to RB and GH) when developing the Wii. Do you guys think that this is the draw? i don't know that's up to you. but the toy factor is definitely not relegated solely to this game.

He also made a distinction between toy and video game.

Apparently miyamoto himself thinks that there is a difference between a toy and a video game.

Cougarman:wii music is only 1 game from the wii library, if the wii only could play wii music only no other game then it would be toy, but it has other games. (so are consoles not toys?)
