It would be good if every single one would stop to just believe what he sees.
It's common knowledge that, although we know nothing, everyone knows what's really up in the world.
I've stopped letting things get to me, thanks to my, I dare to call it 'spiritual welfare' (although I'm really not a monk :S far from it ) .. and philosophy class.
Inner peace is something everyone has to achieve on his own, that's something where no one can really help you. Actually, that's not really a catholic viewpoint, because that would question the purpose of my lovely church. That's also why I thought about leaving it, but I still see some purpose for it in our material and social world. The church is a great and easy way for community organizing, helping people (like it's actually one of the key lessons jesus told us) and so on. That can also be across the churches. Last year I participated in a small social programm by a protestant organization, spending some time with people of the older generations. Interesting experience.
Now, I'm pretty well aware of the bad sides of the church. I visited relatives in Columbia (south america) this summer (I'm a european) and felt ashamed about the antipathy of some churches there.
