Eh, no. It's got lower detail running at faster speeds, that's it.

What do mean it has lower detail, it is 1080p, to me that is higher detail, and there is loads of stuff going on in the background, in many cases you can see cars flying around the city. Of course there is also all the effects from the weapons to consider, oh and the speed boosts will probably be more complex

 

 

Polygon count, number of textures and its resolution.

If you really think wipeout hd is pushing what gt5p (just to name one) is pushing...
