Level 5 wishes it was on tri-Ace's level. The only established franchises Level 5 have had since conception are Dragon Quest (which they don't own and could be removed from entirely by DQX) and Professor Layton to a lesser extent. Dark Cloud bombed, Rogue Galaxy had modest sales but was fairly forgettable since Level 5 wanted it to be their equivalent to Final Fantasy, and Inazuma Eleven remains to be seen. So far, Level 5's best can barely challenge tri-Ace's worst, but it's not really fair when you've got an older and better developer like tri-Ace and randomly match them up against a developer still struggling to find a place and some relevance in the amrket like Level 5, just because some Sony fanboys a feeling a bit insecure about a game they had no business hyping to astronomical levels in the first place based on past history. |
NO! Take that back!

Sony better market this game like mad. It'll probably be Level 5's best game yet, and it's the ps3's first big JRPG, so they probably will (we all know they need to), but if they don't, I"ll be very annoyed.
But I think it will get marketed at least as well as Uncharted (which got kind've screwed in the marketing, but still managed to sell well enough).
