I bought mine for $55 used ... so I don't regret buying it.
The actual price tag was $700. It wanted to be what the PS3 is trying to be (and has the capability to be) -- a home media center.
This is not a swipe on the PS3's technology but rather a comment on what people expect or don't expect from their gaming consoles. Video games as home media centers have a mixed history. The PS2 was able to do it early on when it was the least expensive DVD player in Japan. But Nuon-enabled DVD players never caught on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuon
Still BR-DVD > DVD >>>> VCD, so there is hope.
But back to the topic, I have a 3do and close to 100 games.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
