humans throughout history have always thought they world was ending while they were alive because they were so special and as advanced as humanity had ever been. Same situation now. Do you really think the Mayans were so much smarter than everyone else that they were accurately able to predict doomsday well before it happened? If so, how come they wern't smart enough to take over the world, or at least survive?
