Usually, when something is worse, it's not fun as it was before. So yes, you didn't literally say it would be worse, but if you read between the lines, this is exactly what we can say about this comment.
If this is indeed true and the split-screen is still there + online multiplayer, it should be as fun or even more fun because a lot of other people will be able to try it out now, meaning it should be better at the same time.
