But i think it still wierd because that PS3 is harder to produce and Sony was 1 million consoles behind shipped in december.
As a guestimate, both companies have (possibly dramatically) increased production since November but the lower sales for the PS3 in Japan and North America have given Sony a good opportunity to build up a decent supply. Consider that on average the Wii has outsold the PS3 by 200,000 units per month in North America and 40,000 per week in Japan (with at least an additional 200,000 per month being sold in Europe) so if they were both creating the exact same number of units it would only take 2 months for Sony to have a Million units sitting in a warehouse.
