What I think you don't like is the ''casualization'' of various Nintendo franchises, removing the little bit of advantage ''hardcore'' gamers had over newbies. If you look at Mario Kart Wii, it's just too easy to be in last place and get 2 Blue Shells in less than 15 seconds, and guess who was in front? The rather good player... And this got me sick of this game.

I know the feeling though, you'd think they would upgrade on what they've built, but they rather prefer to change the engine for no reason to please the ''other'' players. Another example here is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, why did they make the n00b ''B specialist'' characters soooo powerful? Why did they remove the L-cancel, a technique that has been in the Smash games since the N64? Various other gameplay elements come in mind. If the Wii isn't focused on graphics, you'd think it would focus on gameplay at least! Two years ago, the games were amazing (Twilight Princess, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, etc.), but it felt like this year's games didn't really deliver in my opinion.

I still have hope for the Wii though, so I'm keeping it until ''that'' game comes out, but if your mind is already set for the PS3, then go for it, because it might take a while!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You said it best.  I own a DS and I LOVE most of the games on it.  New Super Mario Brothers and Mario Kart DS ARE SO AWESOME, but all the Wii stuff is so mehh, I feel like I already own it.  I saw a video of Animal Crossing and I was pretty angry.
