Well I don't like Metroid Prime, never liked it on the gamecube. I was really hoping for a good Mario Kart, but it didn't come out. Alot of those games, I probably won't like. I will probably rent Zak and Wiki before I send it off though.

I don't mind not having backwards compatibility, I already have a PS2. I just read on the internet you can connect your Playstation 3 to a monitor with a special cable, is that true?

As for the Xbox 360, no thanks. I have to use Wifi, the computer upstairs is connected to a router. Also, I really want Metal Gear, Ratchet (I have all the games on PS2 :)), Uncharted, and LITTLEBIGPLANET!!!!!

That's cool, just thought I would throw that one out there since I hated the earlier Metroid games too.

Also, I'm not saying don't get a PS3, I'm just saying don't sell your Wii.  A game will come out later you will want to play and then you will have to spend the $250 again.  Just save your money so you can have a PS3 and a Wii.  Selling the Gamecube games, your PS2, and the Wii games you don't like (especially WiiFit and Mario Kart) will easily get you more than $150 at Gamestop and even more on eBay.

You will be much happier in the long run if you keep your Wii.  I can almost guarantee when you buy the PS3 and have played the PS3 games you want to death you'll be making the same thread about your PS3 and regretting selling your Wii.  Go with eBay or Gamestop and get a used backwards compatible PS3.

I was going to sell my Wii and Wii Fit and hopefully have enough money to buy a new PS3.  I never want to buy anything used, because my old PS2 broke >.<  I think I'll buy a Wii again in the future, but I definetely see alot of cool things on the PS3, and plus I might be able to convince my dad to get us an HDTV :).  OH! I saw a blueray of Planet Earth it looked really cool, but they are really expensive.

I am probably going to rent games for a while, probably I'll just buy little big planet this year.  Whats the big deal with the resistance game?

Can someone answer me, can you connect a PS3 to a monitor and play it in high definition?  We have a spare 22 inch one, that I can use :)!!!
