I'm really looking forward to playing this with my gf. ==> sorry, no, Fable2 is not casual ... Gears of War 2 is the kind of game that Halo was... it brought people into the hard core setting... Halo redefined FPSes on consoles by actually controlling well and Gears of War series brings a very hard core feeling to it, but it really isn't that hard. The biggest thing they needed to address with GoW2 is story... My gf sat and watched me play Mass Effect and Lost Odysse, but I couldn't get her to sit and watch me play GoW... so that's what they really need to do better in order to kind of draw in more of the upper level casual gamers into the core crowd. ==> overall, I agree. Bottom line is Gears is going to sell batshit crazy and Fable is going to put up at least a million if not two. It wouldn't surprise me at all if those two games outsell Sony's big four(R2,MotoSt2,SOCOM,LBP) combined by the end of the year. ==> you think the 15M PS3 owners will not buy games ? then you are just stupid. I predict that this holiday alot of PS3 owners go multiplatform and a lesser amount of Wii owners go for the 360/PS3. I think this will be a good holiday for all three consoles no matter how things fall. ==> no, if people there are people going multiplateform, it is the 12M Xbox360 users that will buy a PS3 to have a BR player and have access to some PS3 games. As for me I think Fable 2 is my next purchas and after that Gear of War 2... perhaps a couple of discount games to.
