One problem you have is that you seem to looking from now, backwards. Example is you dislike Knuckles becuase you think it should be Sonic Tails and Eggman. But, you wouldn't say that when it was released. You say it now becuase Sega is making too many Sonic characters (They were fine after Amy). But, all games add characters. Just Sega adds one a year.
The other is you disliked Sonic Adventure 2. Well, theres nothing wrong with that. I, personally, liked SA2. It wasn't a bad game. It controlled well and was generally fun. Plus the 3 game play types wasn't that bad of an idea (but I can understand if you do). I felt it did what Adventure did, and expended on it.
I see tyhe fall of Sonic started with Heros as it showed lazyness. Shadow really put the genocide into motion.
I say Segfa should just make a 2D Sonic for the consoles. They always worked the best.
EDIT: Another example of looking from back to know is Sonic and the secret rings. What loose ends are you talking about. Did you play the game. Did you al least look it up on Wikipedia. I stopped reading to say you plail. I think your getting over your head here.
