Because if they chose the song... they were desperate for a good song. 

Thinking that no song in the history of the PS lineup was good enough for use with their launch.  So they stole a Nintendo one.

You don't see resorting to your opponents product as desperate?

What if Wii launched in China with a bunch of pictures of MGS4 or something?

Basically reverse it... and you can see, even through your fanboyism that this kind of thing would be seen as desperate if delibrite.
