Well there is your problem, the million sellers list won't include any games below 1 million sold.
Edit: Erm... just checked the million sellers list and it shows 96.3 million games including MS games... so I guess you mean a different list.
As well as this there will be a decent number of sales missing from "others" games that are not tracked weekly or even at all.
For instance, Nintendo's fiscals for the end of March 2008 show a total of 148million games, that's for a system only 1 year and 4 months old. (the total now it probably 180-190 million)
Compare that to the total number of X360 games shown on the million sellers list, Now I checked it to be 96.3 and the Nintendo number is higher.
MS unfortunately doesn't give out software numbers in it's fiscals, but I would estimate the total (including MS) will be between 200 and 250 million..... perhaps as high as 300 million. And VGC shows roughly 25-30 million sales under MS (which will be relatively accurate as most MS games will sell well enough to be tacked properly on VGC), so take that away from 200-250 million.
For reference Nintendo is forcasting to sell 177 million games in the current fiscal year (and will likely surpass that with ease), which helps show the exponential way LTD software sales grow with more years on the market.
