To imitate Ben, I am voting for McCain to keep Obama out of the White House. Other than that I don't like it how Democrats like to cater to big city people with stuff like gun control and we know Palin is good with security because she was entrusted with it as Governor of Alaska. With Alaska being so close to Russia and China she would be briefed the day she took office of all plans should something happen with those two countries or others in Asia.

BTW, I know McCain isn't perfect, far from it, but I see way more impurities in Obama than I do in McCain and to the OP, I do think McCain can win because he appeals more to the middle of the country and we know how Bush being able to appeal to all those states helped him out in 2000.

Do you really think she got that much breifing about international conflicts from Russia or China?  I highly doubt she did.

I'm not diminishing her role as a governor, but McCain himself (ironically) said a governor wouldn't probably make the best VP, since there is really no foreign policy experience.  And then he picks the governor of Alaska...a frozen state with a total population of about 670,000?  That's 1/5 the population of Chicago!  I wouldn't trust Mayor Daley as VP, and he governs a body of people five times the size Palin does!  And Palin is second to be President...she just does not have enough experience.

And yeah Bush appeals to middle of the country.  And that turned out just splendid.

So you are saying you don't like the sates in the middle of the country?  Or just don't want them to have equal power with the big population states or something?  And yes Palin would have gotten quite an extensive briefing on what to do and what is going on with Russia and China.  Alaska is America's first defense against these countries if something happens and the feds know it.  And Alaska is only frozen for half the year, just like the northern region of the lower 48 as well.  You realize that Fairbanks gets up into the 80s in the summer?  The average for July is 73, which is quite warm considering it is so near the artic circle.  And I don't see how population has much to do with it.  The population isn't very big, but there are large American, Russian, Asain, and Native populations that need to be balanced out and the harsh winters means she would have to aprove budgets to constantly work on infrastructure every summer in a state that is so big it streatches from Florida to California if their maps where put on top of each other in scale.  If that is not enough experience, it is kind of ironic that you would support Obama.

edit: PDF, you realize that in those debates the canidates usually get the questions early right?
