I'm leaning toward middle ground.

It's a game with a really interesting art style and a focus on building a community around user created content. They already have a substantial number of guaranteed sales to people who already want to love it, due to the style, the community, or loyalty to Sony.

However, I'm still skeptical that the platforming elements are really interesting enough in their own right to expand interest beyond the people currently lining up to get it.

I can't see the level editor selling this game. Even if the editor is really easy to use, a lot of people will have trouble coming up with interesting ideas for levels and will quickly get tired of playing with the editor. I expect that six months after release, the level trading community will have dwindled down to a small group of feverishly devoted contributors.

If this game doesn't develop and sustain a healthy community, don't expect to see any legs on this game. People who aren't following the gaming media won't understand this game and without a proselytizing community, they never will.

Them's the breaks.
