The problem might be that the PS3 is more resource intensive then the 360. This is not only probable but very likely. We have all heard the take on the system by developers. Most of them say it is hard. Perhaps that is because it is so new and untested. I have read dozens of comments by reputable developers to this effect. I know those developers are lazy, or those developers are stupid. Well what if they are not. What if the hardware is that difficult. The simplest answer is probably the right answer. There is no smoke without fire.

Basically you have a team of one hundred people working on this game. Then one part of the project starts to lag behind. The simple solution is to shift more people that part. Now if that part consistently slows you down it can also slow down the part of the project that was not having problems, because it has fewer dedicated development members.

Simultaneous development always slows down production. However if they had focused on the 360 version as the primary they would have made the deadline for a holiday launch. The only question is why did they not do that. Well the answer is obvious Sony paid for them to do that.

Sony has finally caved in and has started to negotiate deals again. Which for the longest time they refused to do even as their sales slumped. That is the only logical reason for this to happen. Somehow I get the feeling that Take 2 is playing both sides against each other. Sadly the gamers get screwed when that happens.
