And I noticed that the main people defending Mrstickballs reaction are 360 owners.  So what does that mean.

Let me set up a slightly different situation for you...

You have just bought a Brand X Plasma screen TV for $1000.  The sales men that sold it to me told me it was nitorious for for having static problems a short time into it's lifespan. (While trying to sell you an extended warrent)  You still buy the TV because it is the only one with the coneection type you need. 

Apon opening it up the TV you find out that it only has a 30day warrenty.  You are worried that you are going to be stuck with a broken TV after the 30 day warrenty expiers.

You decied to vent your frustration on a Plasma forum about the short warrenty when someone repsonse to your post.

"Brand X has a 1 year warrenty on their plasma.  You should't post this garbage until you have checked there website.  So don't be a troll."

You didn't know about the new warrenty program that the company just announced, you were only going off of what the company told you.

Would you consider the response rude or not?

No one here is chiding Mrstickball for correcting Joes lack of information.  The just didn't like the rude undertones.
