What kind of stupid pricing is that? He'd be better off buying 300 for £9.00. He'll have 90 left over (he could return them back to the store for 9 x £2.00 
). As for what is it... I'm guessing nails since he needs so many (if that is it, I would also advise him to sue the builder).
