Its not the game preferences I'm critisizing, its going on message boards and exclaiming that all games they like are mature and all games they don't are kiddy. And yes, I think doing that is immature. Children have a natural tendacy to choose activities they think will make them seem grown up. For most people this goes away when they actually do grow up. In the end its all about motivation, and communication. Someone who is immature says "I prefer GTA4 to Mario Galaxy because Mario is for kiddies and I want my games to be mature"; a mature person would have said "I like sandbox games or shooters but not platformers".

Does someone really do that? The people who like those "mature" games? Usually that kind of stuff come from those people who like the "kiddie" games. :)
Of course there are few that do not like some games which many would consider kiddie. You use smg as an example, I can't say anything about that game... mostly because it would get me banned. But anyway, isn't it even more immature to complain about those gamers who do not like kiddie games? ;)
And by those kiddie games I mean likes of my horsez and me or whatever.
