Question about Rockband/ Guitar Hero on the PS3

Rock Band has better DLC in my opinion. I will buy both new games. I've heard the new instruments will be compatible with both games but I'm not sure if that is true or not. GH's drums do look better and I think the cymbols are a add on option for RB
