more than alright, it's selling better than the 360 at the same point in it's life. Without the PS2's Christmas spike, it would be very close to the PS2 too. http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php?cons1=PS2®1=All&cons2=PS3®2=All&cons3=®3=All&weeks=100 concept does seem to be working well. also, remember for Sony, they're probably still losing money per console sold, but they'd recoup some of that through PSN, Software and Blu-ray royalties. OT: yup, I can definately see the PS3 going for 10 more years, possibly even new games coming out for it in 10-15 years. The systems versatility will just keep improving as more and more devs get their heads around IBM/Sony's Beast-Baby |
Please don't use that graph again.... You must have been told before if you have been here a while, but the launch differences fr PS2 and PS3 make that graph void for the most part, as well as the lack of PS2 supply for it's first Christmas.
Try these:
PS3 well behind PS2 in Japan
PS3 well behind PS2 in Americas
PS3 doing well, but still behind PS2 in Europe ("others" not used due to PS3 split launch)
