Ah, the port machine PS3.  It's easy to justify not porting over a $10-20 M HD game.  Porting a nex-gen game isn't as easy as emulating an SNES game.  If the original game cost $10-20 M than a port to a different system AT LEAST costs $3-5 M.  Which Coicidentally is the same price for a very good Wii title.  So do you lock up your team porting a 360 game to the PS3 for 200,000 more sales which may compete with the Xbox 360 release (dual console owners).  Or do you spend it producing a Wii game that will likely sell a boatload more copies.  Every developer has limited resources.

I couldn't find the numbers but I thought the NCAA football series sold 300-400 k on the gamecube.  As a PS2 port it seems like a no brainer to bring the game over.  The gamecube is easy to port to and could easily handle PS2 like graphics.  But EA chose not to.  Are the stupid (maybe :) ) or do they realize that they could get a bigger return having those individuals work on different projects.  It's not all about breaking even (although you wouldn't know it by the way Microsoft and Sony play the game).  It's about maximizing returns.  It still doesn't answer my question.  What game would sell best on the PS3 over 360 and Wii?
