*sigh*

This is how threads have sounded for such a long time, and people making posts in them are CONTINUALLY being proven wrong.

Sorry but 'sales potential' wise the Wii has the strongest lineup for the rest of this year, it has absolute quality titles backed up with a fuck ton of casual games, plus it is riding on the top of its wave STILL. If anyone thinks the Wii isn't going to murder this Christmas anymore then they are mistaken.

The games that are coming out for PS3 and Xbox 360 all only cater for a very closed demographic. Apart from Guitar Hero and Singstar it is all for hardcore gamers and it's not going to cut it. Guitar Hero 3 is coming to Wii also and Singstar is coming out on a console that is far to expensive to appeal to 'non-gamers'.

I can't believe how little so many people in this thread understand why sales are the way they are and that they can't see how much Nintendo is going to freakin OWN this christmas.

Whoa whoa! holy bombshell, batman! When was this announced?

I can't believe a lot of you Wii fans are totally underestimating GH3 and Rock Band. Have you all seen the sales numbers on this very site for GH2 and 80s?

Also, a lot of you failed to mention Assassin's Creed, which is easily one of the most anticipated games on the PC.

I'm not gonna go so far as to say either the 360 or PS3 will outsell the Wii this holiday season. Hell, I didn't think that would happen a week ago when I thought GTA was coming out this year. But both the PS3 and 360 have huge lineups that are diverse and high profile.

Edit: Just to clarify, IGN definitely says Haze and Unreal Tournament III are coming only to PS3 this Fall: http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html
