The Wii is actually a threat to the PS3/Xbox 360 because they are actually targeting all gamers. Nintendo has released casual as well as core games. They can not help that third parties want to create shallow casual games. Eventually the core games will come either from third parties or Nintendo. The PSX, PS2, and the GBA did not become successful consoles because they targeted the core. They became Successful because they offered games for all gamers, casuals and the core. |
And no matter how you slice it, $250 for a Wii is $250 less for a PS3 or 360. Now there are some who have no intentions of buying a PS3 and/or a 360 so that $250 meant nothing for those consoles in the first place. But there are still those out there who are deciding amongs the three, and whatever that person buy takes away spending power from another console.
Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.
