 Obviously your assumption is wrong. We don't know how many of those 5.5M units produced in 2006 are "old-style 60G units", but a good guess is there should be at least 0.5-1.0M units still warehoused. And of course Sony is going to ship them all out. The number of units in stores around june 30 is, however, remarkably low...

The 60GB is still being sold in Japan and EU so i think the remaining 60GB units that are in the 1.2M that are still in the warehouses will be sent there.
