Xbox 360 launched 3 years ago at £280. The same model (well, actually it's better as it now has HDMI and 60gb HDD), is now £170. That's £110 price cut in 3 years.

PS3 launched in 18 months ago for £425. It now costs £300. That's £125 in 18 months, ie, half the time.

 

Actually No! 60GB BC PS3 was 425 that got cut to £350 in Oct 07. £299 PS3 was the newly introduced 40GB Non BC PS3 (Now 80GB Non BC ) So they had to make it cheaper. It was a price cut of £75 not 125!!!

Wait, so they lowered the price AND took out functionality to save money, and this is evidence of a less desperate move?

Just saying...
