This is exactly what I hate about Obama. He talks about change and how McCain uses the same old politics but yet he is using the same old politics too.

Hypocrisy is a huge pet peeve for me. However I still think he is what the Country needs more than McCain.

Seems we are on the same page. I do not think McCain is the best choice for Pres... But it looks like there is no alternative.

Are you guys for real?  I think Obama needs to get even more nasty if he wants to win.  The republicans have run some of the most disgraceful campaigns under Karl Rove and now McCain is following the same path.

Negative campaigns only exist because they work.  This is extremely sad and pathetic, but people keep falling for it.

Republicans have learned a few neat things, primarily:

1.) The bigger the lie, the more people are willing to accept it.  Most people will see through small lies - after all, we all commit small lies on a regular basis, whether "little white lies" or otherwise.  People can't fathom the truly large and disgusting lies, lies that they themselves would never commit.  It's easier to accept the perception that a greater lie is the truth than it would be to accept that even a politican would commit a lie so large.

2.) If you repeat a lie, over and over again, there are a certain percentage of people who will believe it no matter what.  The other, larger percentage of people, will generally dismiss it as "politicians being politicians", and unless the lie/attack is so disgraceful and so severely debunked on a widespread basis, it will not negatively effect their opinion.  The small percentage of people that accepted the lie are lost to the opposition for good.

I would have never believed year 2000 McCain would do this :(  Back when the straight talk express really was straight talk
