Soon as the egg and sperm unite. That's when a life is created. Screw all the, omg no brain waves, no self awareness, blah blah blah, nonsense. In 95% of most cases if you left the embryo alone it'd develop into a baby and be born without any major life threatening issues.
If you don't want a baby, don't have sex, period. No need to cop out because you're irresponsible.
