Yeah. It gets tied to your EA gamer name.
Really it's no big deal for me though. My girlfriend just uses my account to make her chars it's fine.
You get like 9-10 planets at a time to goof of with, so it ain't so bad. Though it is kinda weird they limit the number of games you can have saved. (unless you get more planets as you go.)
That's the only thing that makes sense in the DRM as an actual "piracy preventer".
