This is completely wrong. Now, I dont have any particular love for republicans, but generally thay are better on economic issues when they are doing what they are supposed to (being fiscally conservative). Since republicans keep money circulating in economic and market venues and send less to the wasteful government the economy grows. The clinton years are a good example, especially if you consider the 1st Bush admin. The mistake most people make is to think that the president steers the economy, this is a lie the democrats are trying very hard to perpetuate even during this election. However under the first Bush the was a democratic congress and the economy tanked, ofcourse Bush gets blamed. The economy got WORSE during clinton's first two years and didn't really heal until republicans took congressional control in 1994. And the econmy remained strong for 12 years, even with the dot com recession until democrats took over in 2006. It's empiracal evidence that democrats are poison for the economy. Since 2006 gas prices has doubled, unemployment went from historical lows to 6.1%, income is down, consumer confidence is down, growth is slow, etc etc etc all since democrats took over in 2006. |
Very good point. The pres is basically a puppet, as are all politicians. It can be said that anyone seeking power can be corrupted. You know shit is in the tank when a pres campaign last 2 ****ing years. I hate the media and I hate corrupt politicians. Didn't we learn anything from Rome?
