Impulsivity on 11 September 2008
I never get this jonesing for pre black album metalica. Those old songs were great for about 3-4 minutes but had 3 mins of random crap thrown in for no reason. Master of Puppets is at least 4 minutes too long for instance. I thought a lot of the tracks on Load, Reload and especially the Black album were easily their best. They finally got a hold of the concepts of efficiency in song writing and melody.
Maybe I'm the only one in the world who thinks late 90s and beyond Metalica is better then 80s metalica, but it sure seems true to me.
