Nah, just get the herbivore pig-like faces and enjoy the amazing ''lolololololololol'' singing sound effect. It's actually what it sounds like! o_o
You can get past that stage with Lv. 3 singing only, no problem. Find the dried bones on the ground for extra parts, and try to kill/charm the Alpha creatures mostly.
