The PS2 is more powerful than the Wii and as everyone knows the Wii is about as powerful as the Xbox. So you are dead wrong in your assumption that multiplatform games had to be dropped in quality to run on the PS2. The GC was the real reason for the lower quality, because it's only half as powerful as the Wii which is, as mentioned before, as powerful as the Xbox. Nintendo has a habit for holding back the industry.

EDIT: I dare to say that my post makes more sense than Impulsivity's response.

 

Where's the proof in both of these statements.  If your goina make something like that sound like a fact you need proof.
