| TheSource said: Mccain supporters aren't necesarily Ron Paul supporters. If you divided politics in the USA into four corners on a sheet of paper, with the top being completely authoritarian government, and the bottom being anarchy, the left being socialism (redistribution of all wealth) and the right being pure capitalism (everything is competitive, no pensions, welfare, etc)...Mccain would be in the top right corner (Authoritarian right), but a smidge left of Bush. Obama is to the left and down of Mccain, on the bottom right corner in the top left segment (Authoritarian Left). Paul is kind of in the middle of the bottom right (Libertarian Right). I like Obama and Paul because I'm in the Libertarian Left (bottom left), so Obama and Paul are both only a box away from where I am. |
I was aware of the four-corner layout, but I was under the impression that Ron Paul was extreme right, and sort of half way up the "Authortarian" quadrant.
Either way, he would lay closer to McCain then Obama, wouldn't he?
EDIT:

It appears Ron Paul is indeed closer to Obama then McCain. You learn something new everyday.
